Charlie our Springer spaniel was a quiet & shy puppy and was not socially interacting with many dogs, so when we found Caroline of Doggyland we thought this would be a good way to help him interact with other dogs and exercise at the same time. Having been going out with Caroline twice a week for over 2 years now Charlie is a very sociable good natured dog. When we meet any other dog as we walk him he interacts well with all. Caroline has definitely had a positive effect on Charlie's nature and we are delighted to have found her.
We both worked full time when we heard great reviews about Doggyland from a friend and we knew our dog Koda would benefit massively from socialising with other dogs and having a good run around for a few hours. Because of Doggyland he is a lot more confident around other dogs and he is always happy and tired when he arrive home. Caroline goes above and behond for all of the dogs and we know 100% he is in good and safe hands. The only problem is our poor front door when he hears Caroline's van coming, he can't wait to go and have fun with his friends.
Neve is a very playful and excitable dog, I was keen for her to join the pack as i felt she wasn't getting the opportunity to socialise with other dogs as often as I would like, I wanted her to learn a more respectful way of interacting with other dogs and thought having the freedom to play regularly with other dogs would help towards achieving this. After meeting with Caroline I was sure that Doggyland would have a positive impact on Neve, I found Caroline to be extremely knowledgable, Neve listened to her immediately and I felt totally at ease trusting Neve to her care. Neve absolutely loves going to Doggyland, she hears the van coming and waits at the door to get out. She has become more comfortable with a crate which has been an added bonus. I have seen a real benefit from her socialisation with other dogs, she still loves to see other dogs but she now waits to find out if they want to speak to her before saying hello. She loves Caroline, or the dog whisperer as we like to call her, she has a lovely way with the dogs but makes sure that they behave, which is perfect for an excitable dog like Neve. I would recommend Doggyland to any dog owners, as I find it to be a very professional service which both myself and Neve are delighted with.
Our Boxer dog Lola was 8 month old when she joined Doggyland and she had a huge amount of energy that we struggled to get rid of on our walks. As soon as Lola joined the group we noticed a huge change in her behavior and she was a lot more calm as she was able to get her excess energy out on the walks with the pack. Lola has also learnt how to interact with other dogs through walking with Caroline. She is also a lot easier to walk on a lead and we also now have the confidence to let her off the lead from watching the videos posted on Facebook daily. Caroline is extremely trustworthy, reliable and flexible around our needs and she has always done her best to fit Lola in even when we ask last minute.
I heard about Doggyland from a dog owner in Westhill. Poppy was just a few months old at the time. I was looking for a way to get her socialised, so I contacted Doggyland. Caroline came to my house to meet Poppy and I was impressed at how quickly Poppy respected and bonded with her. Poppy joined the pack walks when she was 6 months old, and in the ensuing six months she has made great progress in recall, general obedience, and in learning how to meet other dogs. As a young Border terrier, she still has a way to go, but I am totally satisfied with the service brought by Caroline, always willing to take the time to explain training points, and recount how my doggie has been behaving. Top notch!!!
Caroline has changed my life with her dog behaviour expertise. Our Rosie, is a Working Cocker/Standard Poodle cross and she is amazing! She is full of love, eagerness to please and full of energy but unfortunately due to this abundant energy she has spent her young 3 years being regularly attacked by other 'defensive nervous' dogs. This had a terrible effect on poor Rosie, whereby she has learnt to completely avoid other dogs on the walk, and if they tried to play with her she would bark out of fear. With Caroline's extensive knowledge and behavioural expertise I cannot beleive the difference in Rosie. Initially she avoided the other dogs in the pack walks with Doggyland but with Caroline's careful pack selection, deciding which dogs are suited to which packs, Rosie has come on leaps and bounds. I am delighted to say, months on, that Rosie is now delighted to play with the variety of canine chums that she meets on her Doggyland days and her confidence has shot through the roof! I cannot express enough how Thankful I am to Caroline and Doggyland. Rosie is back to being so happy and relaxed, and we are now a much happier doggy family.
We were looking for an opportunity for our bouncy boxer dog Ruby to release some energy and to socialise with other dogs in a safe and secure environment - Caroline has provided this for us and we are delighted to have found her. The pack walks enable Ruby to have a lengthy off-lead walk during our working day and the videos and photos that Caroline provides after each walk in a testament to the fun Ruby is having. We also have a very sleepy pup for the rest of the day! When Ruby first started with Doggyland she was fairly hyper and was a bit rough in her playing but we have seen a calmer Ruby emerge the longer she has been with Doggyland. Ruby is also less reactive to dogs on her walk with us now, we believe the socialisation has taken away the mystery of other dogs. When Ruby was recovering from surgery, Caroline came to visit her which shows just how much she cares and that she is a true dog lover through and through!
Our Labrador, Izzy, joined our family nearly two years ago. Shortly after, we contacted Caroline at Doggyland as we wanted a regular dog walker for Izzy. Caroline came to our house and met with Izzy and discussed her approach (she takes the dogs as a group rather than individual walks which means the dogs get to socialise and benefit from a much longer walk together). Shortly after, Izzy started going along to Doggyland 2/3 times a week and has been a weekly regular in the group ever since. We can’t recommend Caroline highly enough – she has been 100% reliable come rain or shine (and sometimes heavy ice!) and our dog absolutely loves her doggyland days (and she loves Caroline too). Caroline really cares about the dogs and is always really happy to help with advice and guidance, which has been such a help. It is so reassuring to know that Izzy is in such safe and knowledgeable hands. Whenever Izzy returns from her walks she is a happy and content dog after a day chasing her doggy pals….she is also usually exhausted!
Although our dog Zana was fairly well trained before she started Doggyland she needed more socialising with dogs. As soon as we met a dog on the walk if she was off the lead she was off to play and it could be quite stressful getting her back. Because Zana is a large dog (Akita X Malamute) it was our responsibility to make sure she was properly socialised and exercised. Doggyland gave her the socialising she needed and taught her how to socialise properly with other dogs, she can be a little rough due to her breed! We are so delighted with the progress Zana has made with Caroline she is much more relaxed and gets the extra exercise she needs to burn off her excess energy. As soon as Zana hears the Doggyland van come into the street she is off and doesn't look back, I feel 100 % happy for her to go with Caroline and knows she is in the best hands possible. Caroline is very flexible and reliable and has provided us with a fantastic service!
Molly has been going to Doggyland for over a year now and absolutely loves it. She waits at the window in the morning and listens out for the sound of the van coming down the road. Molly is quite a shy and submissive dog who was prone to being bullied by others and because of this she began to be wary of them and was very reluctant to play. Since she has been at Doggyland her confidence has grown massively and she is quite happy to interact, socialise and play with others. She always comes back from her morning out very happy, content and tired!! I always highly recommend Caroline to anyone who is looking for a dog walker and wouldn't go anywhere else.
I was nervous at first sending Buddy to Doggyland as he had only ever had 1:1 dog walking and had never been off the lead with anyone other than us. Being a beagle he is ruled by his nose and his stomach and can be off like a shot if he gets the scent of a rabbit, fox, deer or a picnic. I don't have any concerns for his safety when he is at Doggyland - he will always follow his chasing instinct but Caroline ensure that he can enjoy himself in the safest possible environment. He has also come on so much in his doggy interaction skills. He used to be nervous around other dogs, didn't know how to play with other dogs and was a bit of a loner. He still enjoys some quality me time but also plays well with the pack and can stand up for himself when the play get rough. It's great getting daily update photos and videos on Facebook of the antics the dogs get up to and it's clear that they are all having a great time. Buddy is the oldest Doggyland dog turning 9 this year and he has been going to Doggyland since the start in 2013. I was reassured this past winter that Caroline has the dogs best interests at heart when she suggested that Buddy went down to 1 Doggyland visit a week instead of 2 while the weather was bad as he didn't seem to have as much energy the second day. She didn't need to do that - but Buddy definitely appreciated the extra time snuggled up in bed next to the radiator but then was excited to return to Doggyland again in the spring.
I have 2 Cockapoos, Milo (3) and Cholo (2). Milo has been with Caroline since he was about 8 months old. I decided to use Dogglands Service, after a friend recommended her to me. Milo was incredibly shy and nervous around other dogs, so I was hoping that this time would help him, also giving me some help with walks, as I have kids. Cholo joined because Milo already went and he too can be a bit antisocial with other dogs. Both dogs have definitely come out of their shell, they also behave better on walks with me and I definitely noticed a difference in their obedience. Caroline is always at hand to answer my many questions about the boys. I would highly recommend her services. The boys love her and can sniff the van coming a mile away.
Archie our yellow labrador joined the gang at Doggyland in January 2015. I had recently returned to work and needed a dogwalker on a Monday as he would have been on his own all day and also needed to lose weight following his castration a few months previously. Archie was quite reluctant and a bit shy to start with but after a few walks with Caroline's patience and great understanding i could see the difference in him. All the dogs love Caroline and see her as the leader of the pack. This was a great relief to me as Archie is completely at ease with her and i trust her 100% when he is in her care. Caroline ensures that Archie is physically and mentally stimulated with forest walks, swimming and lots of interaction. After 8 months Archie had lost 1 stone and was back to his ideal weight! I would thoroughly recommend Doggyland Westhill to anyone looking for a dog walker. It was the best thing i could have done for Archie.
Olive our Husky X Dalmatian has always been a very social and energetic dog, with fulltime work and part time work and 2 young children, finding the time to let Olive release her energy and socialise through the day was becoming very difficult, discovering Caroline & doggyland has been great for Olive, Caroline’s attitude, calming presence & confidence is portrayed whenever Olive sees her coming and when she returns completely tired out after a couple of hours of playtime and social fun on their walks, and the videos posted are great entertainment. Thank you Caroline for accepting Olive into the pack and being available at many of the short notices that’s been given.
Jack has always been our social dog, he really needs the company of other dogs to play with. I wanted him to have a great time with other dogs and come home exhausted, which happens every week. Caroline services has been excellent and she is always willing to accommodate Jack should I need an extra day or two. Caroline is always on time to pick up Jack and is always willing to go the extra mile to help us out. Caroline is truly offering a fantastic service. Thank you so much.
Wouldn't go anywhere else...
I have 2 GSD's who have been walking with the Doggyland staff for the last year. Both can't wait to go on their daily walk and always come home happy, calm and content. One is a rescue dog with epilepsy who was wary of people and other dogs but with the help and dedication of the Doggyland staff she is now very sociable and looks forward to playing with her doggy chums each day. I am happy to leave my dogs in their care as I know they receive individual attention and cuddles come free.
We met Caroline when our previous dog walker told us she could not control our chocolate Labrador Brodie on the walk. Immediately when Caroline came to meet us we noticed a difference. She got to know Brodie and understood him very well. From day 1 she paid close attention to his behaviour and soon realised Brodie was reacting to the other dogs attention. She monitored the situation and expertly grouped Brodie with a pack that suited him. He LOVES his days with Doggyland!!!! He is so happy to see the van come into our street and always has a long sleep afterwards!! We feel so happy that Brodie is enjoying the company of other dogs and is a very happy boy! He is very calm now, gets great exercise with the pack and we have noticed such a difference in him. When Caroline first took him on he was overweight. Within about 6 months of successful off lead walks with a pack he could play happily with he had lost about 7kg!! The vet is very happy with his current weight which is great. Just wanted to finish by saying we are so glad we found Caroline for Brodie, we will all miss her so much!
I first went to Caroline as needed my lovely Greek rescue doggie Leno to socialise with other dogs and people. I was still working and felt he needed more than just me in a new and strange country. Within his first week of going to Doggyland he was a different dog. He does not have a malicious bone in his body but he loved the company and interaction and he looked forward to his day trips and got soooooo excited when the girls picked him up. He would come home very tired but very happy and his training went from strength to strength. Caroline was a godsend and I cannot thank her enough for how she helped me and my boy x
Vote of confidence for Caroline and her team at Doggyland! Happy to give an excellent reference to Caroline and her team at Doggyland. Scotty has been spending 3 days a week with Caroline and he loves it. Scotty doesn't hesitate to go away with Caroline in the mornings and he is always knackered when he comes back! I recommend Doggyland for anyone looking to keep their dog stimulated during the day and sleepy-times during the night :)
Doggyland has helped us enormously with our 15 month old chocolate labrador Erin who was barking, jumping, digging, pulling and lunging on the lead and was unable to be taken anywhere. We initially contacted Caroline because we thought our little girl had a behavioral problem but it turned out that she was just under-stimulated and needed some extra training, exercise and socialising. Caroline provided excellent advice and a thorough consultation before she started working with us. In 4 short weeks the improvement has been fantastic and on the weekend we went out for our first family outing in over a year to a cafe and park. Thank you Caroline! I would highly recommend Doggyland to anyone seeking assistance with their dog.
Caroline has been a great help with my puppy Luna. Helping us to set up boundaries and rules. We started working with her when Luna was about 4 months old, mostly because she had some issues with behaviour and barking in the back yard. But she has also helped to teach us the basic puppy rules, and Luna had been a regular on her walks every week. Which has been great for socialising her and trying to teach her the ways of being a well behaved pup. Luna very much looks forward to her walks every week and gets very excited when she sees Caroline. Training will need to continue for a while yet, but she is learning. Caroline has always gone above and beyond with providing information and wisdom as well.
Could not be more sad that Caroline is moving. I have absolutely loved having her take my dog Finnegan on his adventures. I had struggled to find someone who offered such a great service where the dogs are taken in groups so they can play and interact - this was exactly what I was looking for. Finnegan was already pretty well trained, but I've noticed his sit and stay behaviour has improved since spending time with Caroline. My dog absolutely adores Caroline and her gorgeous dog Sam - I know he will hugely miss his days out.
Caroline has been amazing with my 1 yr old staffy x Rogue. She had become a bit hard to handle at times with her overexcitement and after a couple of incidents with other dogs had started to become aggressive and overprotective when we were approached by other dogs at the park. Caroline recommended some socialization walks a few times a week to teach her how to interact with other dogs and it has done wonders for her. It's now much easier to get her ready for her walks and she happily plays with other dogs at the park now instead of lashing out. She loves her days with Caroline and the updates have built my confidence a lot in trusting her again around other dogs.
